The urn plays a deeply emotional role in the farewell process, serving as the final physical connection to a loved one before they are laid to rest. Its design and presence should offer comfort, reflect the beauty of a life lived, and support the grieving with warmth and dignity. Rather than being impersonal, urns should be meaningful, memorable, and crafted with care. Ceramicsbytiz has been collaborating with Urnique to create original personalised urns as part of an ongoing project. Each piece is hand-made and crafted in her studio in Berlin.
