Ceramic Workshops

I currently live and work in Berlin. Pottery classes are available to beginners and those with a little more experience who wish to develop their skills more and experiment with different techniques, or those simply looking to get away from the stresses of daily life. Ceramic workshops can be offered in blocks of 3 or 6-week lessons. You may find me teaching wheel throwing at Clayground Berlin studio. To join our sessions and book your spot, click on this link.

I occasionally give workshops in Malta. Follow my page for news and updates

You can also drop me an email with any questions you may have. These sessions make for great team-building events and gift ideas. Follow Ceramicsbytiz and Claygroundberlin on Instagram for updates.

Wheel-throwing classes

During these sessions, you’ll learn a whole bunch of wheel-throwing techniques and skills such as a good technique for centring the clay to prep for efficient wheel-throwing, how to form the base of your piece so you don’t run into wobbly problems when making your pieces and how to position your body and hands for pulling the clay straight up. Steps also include learning how to trim your piece and knowing when it’s dry enough to trim, how to make a bottom ring for detail, make it more delicate, or carve a pattern! We’ll meet at the studio once per week and at the end, you will get the chance to glaze and fire your piece so that it is ready to use and show off to your friends and family

Tiziana’s teaching style is relaxed, yet practical. She explains concepts and techniques in a way that is easy to understand for a complete beginner. Classes for wheel throwing are one-on-one, so as a student you receive a lot of guidance

Tiz is the best, most patient teacher. I have greatly enjoyed my weekly lessons at her studio, learning to throw and create with her has been such a calming, joyful experience
